The Island Players have been performing live theatre since 1956. Made up of actors young and old, this oldest community theatre in the Golden Isles is committed to bringing the stage alive with a variety of shows. Four performances per year plus a Young Peoples Summer Workshop are presented annually. This year “Guys and Dolls” will be performed from October 23 through November 8th. “Witness for the Prosecution” will play from January 8th through the 24th, 2010. “Come Blow Your Horn” will follow with performances March 12th through March 28th, 2010. And the last show of the regular season will be “You Can’t Take It With You” from May 14th through the 30th, 2010. Residents and part-time residents alike are invited to not only attend these performances but also audition, or work on the production teams.
